Roneeta Guha focuses on K-12 school reform and teacher development. She is the project director of the Evaluation of ConnectEd's California Multiple Pathways District Initiative, a multiyear study of a major effort to transform high schools districtwide through programs of study that integrate rigorous academic instruction with a demanding technical curriculum and work-based learning. She is also a senior researcher on the Teaching and California's Future project, an ongoing study of the teaching profession in California, and is involved in the Evaluation of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation's Early College High School Initiative.

Ms. Guha participated in a study of the status of arts education in California, and led a follow-up study of teacher capacity in the arts to document the extent to which teachers in California have the skills and knowledge to teach to the state's visual and performing arts standards. Her past project work includes an evaluation of five Bay Area KIPP (Knowledge Is Power Program) schools, a formative evaluation of the Bay Area School Reform Collaborative (BASRC), a national evaluation of the Carnegie Corporation's Schools for a New Society Initiative, and an evaluation of the federal Title I program. She is experienced in qualitative and quantitative data collection methods and analysis, the analysis of state and federal education policies, and program evaluation.

Prior to joining SRI, Ms. Guha worked for the Community Foundation Silicon Valley, a foundation that supports art, education, neighborhood, and other community-based programs in the region. She conducted site visits, evaluated grant proposals, and arranged educational programs to increase donor awareness about community issues. She also worked for 2 years as an admission counselor at Occidental College, a private liberal arts institution in Los Angeles, where she coordinated the International Student Admissions Program, managed student interns, and conducted research on underrepresented students. Ms. Guha holds an Ed.M. in international education policy from Harvard University. She earned her A.B. in public policy from Stanford University.
