Nicolette Mayes
Research AnalystNicolette Mayes is involved in supporting qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis for a number of projects. Her projects include the Evaluation of the Early College High School Initiative, [the] National Evaluation of the Teacher Incentive Fund, the National Evaluation of the Writing Project Professional Development, and the Evaluation of CISE Pathways to Revitalized Undergraduate Computer Education. She also serves as the deputy director for the evaluation of Bridging the Valley: A STEP Ahead for STEM Majors project which is a consortium of four Shenandoah Valley higher education institutions focused on recruiting and retaining students into STEM majors.
Before joining SRI, she taught for a year at an adult ESL program in Washington, D.C. She also has experience teaching, tutoring, and mentoring students ranging from preschool through elementary school. Ms. Mayes earned her B.S. in psychology and mathematics from Duke University.
