David Sherer

Research Analyst

David Sherer focuses on research in high school reform and teacher development. His projects include Teaching and California's Future, the Study of Teacher Induction in the Midwest, and The Evaluation of the Texas High School project. His work on these projects includes both quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis.

Before coming to SRI, he worked as project assistant at Public Works Inc., a nonprofit educational consulting firm in Pasadena, California, where he assisted in the evaluation of the Small Learning Communities federal grant program and the California Math and Science Project. He earned his B.A. in public policy analysis and psychology from Pomona College, where he completed his thesis on Professional Learning Communities in a reforming Los Angeles high school.
