School Partnerships
Program Manager - Shari GolanSchool partnerships are increasingly common as our society emphasizes the importance of education for our economic and social welfare and pressures schools both to increase academic performance and to address crucial student issues, such as social and physical well-being. Many schools are seeking to build effective partnerships with families, community organizations, and other service agencies to better meet the needs of all students. Schools also are hubs of activities in many communities, making them a logical and effective place to coordinate and offer services for children and families.
SRI’s School Partnerships Program conducts evaluations of family-school and school-community partnerships that represent a variety of strategies to enhance student performance and promote healthy and socially well-adjusted children and youth. All of our evaluations use multiple methods to assess the impacts of partnerships on students, parents, school staff, and other program staff. Our approach also supports efforts aimed explicitly at strengthening partnerships and their interventions through iterations of implementation, evaluation, and redesign.
