Sheila Shea

Evaluation Technical Assistance Coach

Sheila Shea, Ph.D., currently leads the Somos Mayfair Diabetes and Prevention Campaign evaluation, which is assessing the impact of a weekly intervention program on participants’ knowledge about diabetes and nutrition, and exercise behavior. She leads in-depth program evaluations for the Comprehensive Evaluation for First 5 San Mateo County, which is examining the impact of the county’s comprehensive early childhood system of care for children birth through age 5 and their families. Dr. Shea assists in instrument development and data collection for the evaluation of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting’s Ready to Learn initiative. Before joining SRI, Dr. Shea assisted in several school-based evaluations including an evaluation of national school reform efforts in New York, Texas, and California.

Dr. Shea holds a Ph.D. in educational psychology from the University of California, Berkeley.
