Anne-Marie Knokey
Research AnalystAnne-Marie Knokey focuses on research about issues in disability policy and human services. She has contributed to SRI's program of longitudinal studies that examine students receiving special education services. Her work on these projects has included data collection, brochure design, task coordination, analysis and reporting, and dissemination. Ms. Knokey was a co-leader on the direct assessment of students' academic abilities and led the parent interview components. She also contributed to the Statewide Data Collection and Evaluation of First 5 California Funded Programs and the Teenage Pregnancy Prevention Initiative evaluation. On these projects, her work included reviewing and developing data collection instruments as well as collecting, analyzing, and reporting quantitative and qualitative data through observations, interviews, focus groups, and surveys.
Currently, Ms. Knokey is working on the National Study of Alternate Assessments, which is collecting detailed information about assessments being used by states for students with significant cognitive disabilities nationally. She also is working on the General Supervision Enhancement Grant for Oklahoma, which focuses on the reading accessibility, technical adequacy, and eligibility and accommodations involved with Oklahoma’s modified alternate assessment program. Her responsibilities on these projects include creating data collection systems, procedures, and instruments; managing data collection activities; and analysis and reporting.
Ms. Knokey holds a bachelor's degree in social science with a minor in anthropology and geography from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.
